Mia BeansAs the Manager of Special Events and Community Engagement, Mia is responsible for managing and executing signature fundraising events for CURE, locally and nationwide, as well as managing CURE Crew events. She is inspired by the worthy cause of CURE – saving lives by finding a cure to epilepsy.

Mia began her career as an Associate Director of Operations and Communications and from there found her passion in planning conferences. Since then Mia has been in professional event management for over 10 years which includes creating and implementing effective educational conferences and fundraising events for the City of Milwaukee, National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms, American Venous Forum and the Christian Methodist Episcopal Young Adult Ministry. Mia has also produced advertisements that have been featured in several legal and health trade magazines. Mia is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the National Black Public Relations Society

Mia studied Professional Communication at Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI. She plans to become a Certified Meeting Professional.

 

 

 

 

CURE CURE is a non-profit organization founded by mothers of children with epilepsy who joined forces to spearhead the search for a cure.
