Knocking One Out of the Park!

Our friends in Madison were at it again last weekend–check out these pictures!  Not even the cold, rain, and early hour (6:30 am–yikes!) could dampen the spirits of our Madison Friends of CURE volunteers.  Fifteen of them gathered to staff a water station for the annual “Haunted Hustle Race.”

Under the leadership of Donna Parks, they wore baseball caps and uniforms (some hidden under their rain parkas), and handed out water and sport drinks to the over 2,000 runners.  What a commitment these dedicated volunteers made to helping to wipe out epilepsy!

The theme of their water station was “baseball,” and so the CURE banner read “Let’s Hit it Out of the Park for Epilepsy.”  The past two years, the Madison Friends of CURE has been voted the “Best Water Station”–we’re sure that after the vote is tallied, it will happen once again!

And, while we’re talking about baseball, what a great lead-in this is to letting you know that you’ll be able to purchase tickets online for our Boston event at Fenway Park next week! The event is November 28th. Check back next week!
