Drive for CURE
Truth is, I’ve never, ever picked up a golf club–not once in my life. But, if last week’s 8th Annual Drive for CURE, hosted by long-time friends Jim and Susan Schneider, is typical of what you find on a golf course, I’m willing to start!
What an amazing assembly of family, friends, and colleagues who gathered in honor of Julie and all that her family has done to support CURE and epilepsy research. This annual event supports the “Julie’s Hope” awards. Thanks to past support, two such awards have already been sponsored: “Flexible, Active, Implantable Devices for Epilepsy” in 2011 (a three-year award that is still underway) and “Generation and Characterization of Mouse Models of Cortical Dysplasia” in 2007 (also a three-year award). We can’t wait to see the future cutting-edge studies possible thanks to this year’s incredible event!
Special thanks to Howard Zwirn for taking great pics all day!

We had a lot of excitement this year, with a first ever hole in one! Tim Petersen won $10,000 for his awesome shot!
