We wrapped up our Scientific Advisory Board Retreat Thursday, packed everything up and headed up the lakefront to Evanston for the opening reception of the Partners Against Mortality in Epilepsy Conference that we co-sponsored and that Gardiner Lapham co-chaired.

The meeting goes through Sunday morning.  Gardiner opened the conference with an amazing tribute to her son, Henry, and all the families who have lost loved ones or who are living with epilepsy and want to better understand what we know about mortality in epilepsy, and what the risks are.

It’s an amazingly powerful assembly of patients, families, scientists and clinicians – a landmark gathering!
